I'm a student who's really interested in science and computers. Art is a hobby but it would be awesome if I could become a really great artist, just in the hope that I could inspire and encourage others.
I've seen a lot of artists who seem to have joined when they were awesome and I want to be someone who has grown entirely on dA - so one day I can look back and feel satisfied with my immense improvement.
Concerning Art Subjects:
Mainly I do a lot of fanart for things such as Final Fantasy Games, Nintendo games (including Super Smash Bros. Brawl), Avatar the Last Airbender - and more recently The Dark Knight. Future fanarts might appear from Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex, X-Men and some other Batman characters.
It seems an unreachable dream to be able to recreate the fleeting images in my head that I ultimately wish I could paint.
Concerning Art Style:
I'm still in search of a style which suits my artistic impulses and sadly I think I'm a Jack of all trades, master of none. I can make animated pixel art avatars, am influenced by manga/anime, have attempted Flash and 3D modelling, as well as use of vectors, charcoal drawings and traditional painting (although I don't always post these experiments). However, I feel most comfortable at the moment with biro drawings, using the pen tool and gradients and I'm improving on my digital painting. It's just some kind of crisis I need to sort out, hopefully soon.
Concerning Artists and Art I Admire:
There are very few genres which I don't admire, but I am an especial sucker for photography. It doesn't make me feel discouraged like a lot of really good artworks might - rather I just find them so intensely beautiful that they just transcend all the trivial things.
Another artist whose work I really look up to is PatrickBrown. Follow the link to his page and 'nuff said.
I am sorry to say that I no longer reciprocate adds. Firstly because I am pretty much never on here so I won't be as good a watcher as I'd like. Secondly ... I forgot.
